Mac OS X

I am unable to get hackeyhadk to run on mac osx 10.7.3. Have tried downloading and running from download directory. Program appears to open but all text shows up as square icons. The 'buttons' are live in that I can click and the software will move to next window, but all text is still shown as a square icon, so it's unusable.

I've tried moving the downloaded hacketyhack-1.0.1.dmg to the applications directory and running from there, but the squares still persists.

I was hoping to use this as an entry to helping my son learn programming. So far, the 'kid friendly' software is less than useful.

Hmmm. I haven't heard of anyone having this issue outside of the .dmg. Basically, it's having problems loading the font. :/ I've filed a bug, and I'll try to check it out.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to run it on Lion 10.7.3

When I start the app, all i see is square's instead of some font.

  • Ditto . . . Mac OS X 10.7.3

Finally got a chance to try HH out on a new OS X Lion install (10.7.4) and it exhibits the squares problem if I run it from the mounted image, but not once it's installed into /Applications.

Then deleted HH, and re-mounted, re-ran HH from image, and it happened again.

So please keep that in mind : Install or Be Square!
