Application won't open, what should I do?

The application downloaded fine, but when I go to click on it to open it the symbol appears in my dock for a second and then disappears. Is this the computers fault? (it's a pretty old computer, but new enough to have ruby already pre-installed.) Or the applications fault? Any suggestions? -thanks

    Hello APC - it might be the OS or Hackety Hack.

    HH doesn't use the version of ruby installed - it comes with it's own, but other things might be involved.

    What version of OS are you using? (I'm guessing OSX and perhaps 10.7 / Lion?)
